La Bastide du Laval covers 30 hectares of olive trees, vines and woods. A typical landscape of the southern Luberon, a stone's throw from two villages classified as "Most Beautiful Villages in France", Ansouis and Lourmarin.
Here, we cultivate taste, fruitiness and delicate smells... In the heart of the olive grove, made up of 4000 trees, is the "Huile d'olive de Provence" Protected Designation of Origin zone, a guarantee of traceability, control, know-how and promotion of the land. The olive trees are grown according to the principles of organic farming. The mill can also be visited.
La Bastide du Laval offers the visitor an immersion and a privileged contact with the landscapes and traditions of Provence.
Several visit options are available:
- Free visit of the mill and the olive grove all year round. The walk through the olive grove is signposted, followed by a guided tour of the mill and finally a free tasting of the estate's oils and wines.
Guided and commented visit for groups and coaches (in French and English):
- Commented visit of the mill, presentation of the extraction methods, initiation to the tasting of oils & wines lasting 45 mn. 5 €/pers from 20 people.
